Questions, answered

Everything guests usually ask before their first dive with us. Anything missing? Just ask – we answer fast.

Do I need any experience to try diving?

No. The Try Scuba program is made for complete beginners. A certified instructor stays with you the whole time, from the first breath in shallow water to your first dive.

How old do I have to be?

Try Scuba starts at 10 years, the Open Water Diver certification course at 12 years. There is no upper age limit as long as you are in reasonable health.

Do I need a medical certificate?

You complete a standard medical statement before diving. If you answer yes to certain questions, a physician’s approval may be required – contact us in advance and we’ll clarify it quickly.

What should I bring?

Swimwear, a towel and sunscreen. All diving equipment – wetsuit, mask, fins, tank, regulator – is included in every course and dive.

Where do we meet?

Our meeting point is Ravnice 2, Omis – about 30 minutes from Split. Meeting time for dive trips is usually 9:00.

Can my family or friends join without diving?

Yes. Non-divers are welcome on the boat (subject to availability, €30), and snorkeling gear is available. Many guests bring their families along.

What if I have to cancel?

We don’t charge cancellation or modification fees. Weather can change plans on the Adriatic – if we cancel for safety, you can rebook or get a refund.

Is the water cold?

From June to September the Adriatic is pleasantly warm (22–26°C). We dive in appropriate wetsuits all season, so comfort is never an issue.

Which certification do you teach?

We teach PADI and SSI programs – internationally recognized, accepted worldwide. Theory is done online at your own pace (e-learning), so you spend your holiday in the water, not the classroom.

I haven’t been diving for years. Can I still join?

Yes – book a refresh dive (€90). Your guide brings your skills back in one relaxed session, and afterwards you join the regular fun dives.

Do I need to be a strong swimmer?

You should feel comfortable in the water. For a Try Scuba experience, your instructor stays close throughout the session and adapts the pace to you. Tell us about any concerns before booking so we can recommend the right activity.

How far in advance should I book a dive in Split?

Booking early is recommended in July and August, especially for small groups and private guides. Contact us with your preferred dates and we will confirm current availability and the best starting time.

Can I combine diving with a boat trip or snorkeling?

Yes. Families and mixed groups often combine a guided dive with snorkeling or a relaxed boat outing. Let us know who is joining and we will suggest a day that works for divers and non-divers alike.
