Why take your Open Water Diver Course in Split?
Learning to dive on the Adriatic gives you calm coastal conditions, clear water and real dive sites from the start. Our Open Water Diver Course is designed for beginners who want an internationally recognised PADI or SSI certification, not simply a one-day introduction. By the end of the course, you will have the skills and confidence to dive with a buddy within the limits of your qualification anywhere in the world.
What you learn during the course
The course combines knowledge development, practical skills and supervised open-water dives. E-learning lets you complete the theory before arrival or around your holiday plans. In the water, your instructor introduces buoyancy, mask clearing, regulator recovery, safe entries and exits, communication and dive planning step by step. Every skill is practised at a calm pace before you use it on the open-water dives.
A flexible schedule for your holiday
Most students complete the Open Water Diver Course in three to five days, depending on the chosen schedule and e-learning progress. Small groups mean you have time for questions and personal feedback. If you prefer individual attention or have limited time, a private course is available. Contact us before booking and we will help you choose dates that fit your stay near Split and Omiš.
After you are certified
Your certification is the start of more diving, not the end of the experience. Join local Fun Dives during your holiday, explore different Adriatic sites or continue with further training later. The important result is a solid foundation: you will understand the essential safety routines and have a credential recognised by dive centres around the world.
What to bring and how to prepare
Please bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen and a willingness to learn. We provide the diving equipment, learning materials and insurance listed with the course. Before starting, you complete a medical statement; contact us in advance if you have a health condition, take medication, are pregnant or would like to clarify your suitability. You must be able to swim and float independently, and all training and safety briefings are conducted in English.
We keep every group small so you receive clear feedback, practical support and enough time to enjoy each training dive.
